Safety on the Water

Water safety presentation Montana Living

Free ice cream cones to promote water safety

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks game wardens will be at the Flathead Valley Super 1 Food Stores on June 10th from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. to help kick off the start of a safe boating season.

At the Super 1 Store locations in Kalispell, Evergreen, Columbia Falls and Whitefish wardens will be doing lifejacket demonstrations and helping kids pick out the right lifejacket for their size. Each child, under 12, who can then pick out the right size life jacket and can correctly put it on will receive one of the Super 1 Foods Safe Boater Ice Cream Cone Coupons. Kids can then go into the store and get a free ice cream cone.
This event is designed to remind boaters that state law says that Children under 12 must wear a lifejacket at all times on the water while in the boat.
Super One foods has generously supported this program for the last two years with over 2,000 ice cream cone coupons valid in their stores in Kalispell, Evergreen, Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Hamilton, Stevensville, Helena and now in Great Falls.

This program was set up with local Super 1 stores as part of FWP effort to keep kids safe on the water.
