It’s no secret that the summer months begin to include more visitors from  all over, given our attractive position as a tourist destination. I know personally when we host guests from other communities, I constantly hear their first impressions. They say “Wow, Downtown is so vibrant and there is a lot going on". That has not been by accident, though. It has take a whole lot of passionate stakeholders to create, maintain, and continue improving on.

Missoula’s original food truck rally and favorite summer series, Downtown Tonight and Out to Lunch, are now in full swing! I hope to see many of you there. scroll down and check out the season line-up of locally known bands and the staple food trucks that Missoula loves.

For many, this time of year also sets into motion the traditions of visiting the Saturday Famers Markets and taking in a Paddleheads baseball game. Aside from the obvious, other unique Downtown experiences await like our Unseen Missoula historic walking tours, which are widely popular! And, First Fridays are in full swing bringing guests and locals to our Downtown to view incredible artwork hosted by galleries and local businesses.

Reflecting on all of the activities and vibrancy we see Downtown, I think what makes the Heart of Missoula so special is the diversity of businesses that attract a diverse set of people, and in turn, create a diverse set of experiences for all of us to enjoy right here at home.

Finally, here’s to wishing all dads out there a very happy Father’s Day as we celebrate the important roles you play!
