Winter choral concert in Bozeman

MSU choirs set winter concert for March 5 

Montana Living — The Montana State University Chorale, directed by Kirk Aamot, MSU choral director, will perform selections from Johannes Brahms’ “Liebeslieder Waltzes” (Op. 52). The Chorale will also perform Jake Runestad’s “Come to the Woods.” Julie Gosswiller, MSU music professor, and MSU music major Erin Equall will accompany the ensemble.
 
The MSU Montanans, also under Aamot’s direction, will sing two choral works depicting birds in flight: Felix Mendellsohn’s “Die Nachtigall” and C. V. Stanford’s “The Blue Bird.”  They will also perform Eric Whitacre’s “A Boy and A Girl.”

The Montana State University Chorale, Montanans and the Manhattan Christian Concert Choir will join forces to present a winter choral concert at 7:30 Sunday, March 5, at Hope Lutheran Church, 2152 Graf St., Bozeman.

 


 
The Manhattan Christian School Concert Choir, under the direction of Anna Kalfs, will sing several pieces, then join with the MSU choirs to sing a traditional spiritual arranged by Moses Hogan.
 
Tickets are $5 for adults and free for students and children and will be available at the door.
