Paul Tunkis, Upper Missouri Breaks Artist in Residence gives Presentation at Gallery 16 in Great falls.
Upper Missouri Breaks Artist in Residence, Paul Tunkis will have a reception Sept. 10h at 1:00 pm at “Gallery 16”  in  Great Falls.

The artist's watercolors depict the stunning geography and wildlife that can be seen throughout the Monument, as well as across the Montana landscape. Tunkis will recount his experiences on the river from an artist’s perspective as he talks about his paintings.  Come by and enjoy some refreshments and talk to the artist after the presentation.  Attendees will have the chance to purchase his paintings and he will also be available to autograph free copies of the poster entitled “LaBarge Rock”, which was selected as the National Artist in Residence poster image for BLM in 2016 at this one day only event.

The Missouri Breaks is one of several landscapes across the United States that was featured in the BLM’s National Artist in Residence program.  The program promotes awareness of the wealth of natural, cultural and historic resources on America’s 245 million acres of public lands which are managed by the BLM across the United States.
