Chicago artist Chris Pappan uses 19th century photographs and ledgers to make contemporary portraits inspired by underground comix, punk, and skateboard culture. Pappan grew up in Flagstaff, Arizona, and studied at the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Learn more >>
