Call to artists: MSU anniversary poster design

Montana State University is holding a poster design contest in anticipation of the university’s 125th anniversary.

“This anniversary is a great time to recognize the people and stories that make Montana State University great. We want to involve our current and future students, alumni and community members to create a memorable poster design to represent this event. There are so many talented individuals associated with MSU, we invite them all to be an integral part of the celebration,” Jeffrey Conger, presidential faculty fellow and professor of graphic design, said.

MSU is seeking designs from Montana and beyond in four categories: MSU students, MSU alumni, Montana residents and state high school students. Three top designs will be selected from each category and will be considered for the grand prize. From those categories, one winning selection will be chosen as the grand prize winner to promote the yearlong celebration of MSU’s 125th anniversary. The university will award cash prizes of $1,000, $500 and $300 for first, second and third prize in each of the four categories.

The winning designs and honorable mentions in each category will be on display in the Exit Gallery during the February anniversary events.

Entries are due by 4 p.m. Friday, April 28.
