Polson Cherry Festival July 16-17

Fun for the family in Polson

Polson’s Main Street Flathead Cherry Festival is set for Saturday and Sunday, July 16 and 17.  Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event features over 100 vendors offering local arts and crafts, cherry-themed items,  Montana made products, jewelry, personal care, household and garden décor, accessories, and a variety of food court sellers.  A large tent will offer a place to eat, rest and cool off.  Fresh cherries right out of local orchards will be for sale, along with farmers’ market produce.  Homemade Flathead cherry pies and other cherry sweet treats from local women’s clubs will be for sale both days.

Games and contests for children and adults take place each afternoon and include pit spitting, pie eating, and judging for the most unique food made with Flathead cherries.  Winners will enjoy gift certificates from downtown merchants.  The Great Scotts Bagpipers will entertain  festival goers on Saturday afternoon.   Cherry-theme aprons will be on display throughout Main Street storefronts giving the public a chance to view and vote for their favorite hand-crafted apron.

For more information or to inquire about vendor space, call (406) 883-3667, or visit www.flatheadcherryfestival.com. The festival is sponsored by the Polson Business Community and Flathead Lake Cherry Growers, Inc.
