Grand opening of gallery features Rembrandt
Hollensteiner Gallery grand opening June 15 features art of the masters
The Wanda Hollensteiner Art Gallery on the campus of Flathead Valley Community College in Kalispell will hold a reception for its grand opening exhibition on June 15 from 5:30-7:30pm. The event is free and open to the public.
The exhibition, “The Legacy of Wanda Hollensteiner,” includes Old Master artworks by Rembrandt, Dürer, and Toulouse-Lautrec along with a large selection of distinguished nineteenth and twentieth century paintings and sculpture including works by western favorites Charlie Russell and Robert Scriver.
The Wanda Hollensteiner Art Gallery has been open since the Wachholz College Center’s inaugural concert last fall. The gallery was established by a generous gift from James Hollensteiner in honor of his late wife Wanda, who was a devoted patron of art conservation.
The works of the exhibition have benefitted from Wanda’s support of the art conservation program at the Wright Museum of Art at Beloit College in Wisconsin.
The public is invited to attend the grand opening reception in the Wachholz College Center’s Wanda Hollensteiner Art Gallery on June 15 from 5:30-7:30pm. Following the opening event, the exhibition will be available for viewing to the public through Sept. 15 during gallery operating hours of 12-4pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday and to patrons with tickets to WCC performances during show times.
