Feast in Madrigal style

BOZEMAN - Tickets are now on sale for the Montana State University School of Music's popular madrigal dinner, which will be held at 6:30 p.m. both Saturday,

The 54th annual MSU School of Music production transports contemporary guests to a Renaissance feast in a great baronial hall. Members of the MSU choral groups become knaves and wenches who perform the traditional carols sung for centuries during the 12 days of Christmas. The performance is produced by the American Choral Directors Association Student Chapter, a registered MSU student organization.Dec. 7, and Sunday, Dec. 8, in the ballrooms of MSU's Strand Union Building.

The traditional holiday feast will also be held Thursday, Dec. 5, in Big Sky.

Paul Birkeland, director of MSU Catering, and his crew will prepare a menu featuring a pork loin or a vegetarian option with all the fixings. The meal includes a traditional holiday dessert and plenty of wassail — a hot, mulled cider drink.
Tickets for the MSU performances are $35 and may be purchased at the Bobcat Ticket Office in the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse, which is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Parking for ticket buyers is provided in the lot directly below the ticket office.  Tickets may also be purchased over the phone at 406-994-CATS or online at ticketswest.com(search for “Montana State madrigal dinner”). A convenience fee is charged for purchases made online or over the phone.
The Big Sky dinner will be held at Buck’s T-4 in Big Sky at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 5. Tickets for that performance may be purchased by calling the Big Sky Arts Council at 406-995-2742.
