Family ski cup this weekend at Blacktail Mountain

Chance to win prizes for family teams

MONTANA LIVING — Kalispell Ski Club’s annual fun day is this Saturdayat Blacktail Mountain ski area in Lakeside.

The Kalispell Ski Club Family Cup is a chance for families to compete against other families for the fastest combined time down a Giant Slalom race course.  Trophies will be given out for almost every category imaginable including fastest grandparent/grandchild, fastest husband/wife, fastest mother/daughter, and many more.  New this year, the overall fastest family will also receive a $250 gift certificate to the Sportsman Ski Haus.  Second place, $100 gift certificate to the Sportsman.  Third place, $50 gift certificate to the Sportsman.

After the family cup, it’s time to get your Bar-b-que on, slopeside.  Kris Weller will be making his “probably deserves an award” winning pulled pork sandwiches.

Schedule of events 
9:30am - 11:30am      Family Cup (registration at the edge of the upper parking, please arrive before 11:00 if you want to race)
11:30am - 12:45pm   Slopeside Bar-b-que (same location as the registration)
1:30pm - 3:30pm       Regular class, coupled with race in a Giant Slalom course, medals will be given out
4:00pm - 4:30pm       Family Cup Award Ceremony (same location as the registration)
 
Cost is $10/person which includes your all day lift ticket and a slopeside lunch!!
