How music therapy helps in healing
Music Therapist Jenna Justice to Present at North Valley Music School

Music Therapist Jenna Justice will speak March 5 at 7 p.m., at North Valley Music School in Whitefish, offering the community a look into the clinical field of music therapy.
Music therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship led by a credentialed professional. While many people associate music with entertainment, music therapy is a structured healthcare profession used in educational, medical, and clinical settings to support physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being.
During the presentation, Justice will explore:
-
The history and evolution of music therapy
-
The education and clinical training required to become a music therapist
-
Real-world applications of music therapy across diverse populations
Attendees can expect practical examples, real-life stories from the field, and time for questions and discussion.
Justice holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Oklahoma Baptist University and taught elementary music in the Washington, D.C., area for eight years. She later earned her Master of Music Therapy from Florida State University and went on to spend 22 years in hospice care, serving as a field music therapist, music therapy administrator, and eventually in hospice organizational leadership.
Now a full-time visual artist in the Flathead Valley, Justice continues to draw from her decades of music therapy experience in her creative work and community engagement.
The presentation will take place at North Valley Music School. Community members of all backgrounds are encouraged to attend.
North Valley Music School is at 1998 River Lakes Parkway, Whitefish
