Rechargeable headlamps make your day last longer

We've made it through another Montana winter (almost), but there is another way to extend your work and play hours in the outdoors.

A rechargeable headlamp from Biolite.

These are great little tools that I've used in the Montana backcountry, skiing, hunting elk, and even here at the ranch where I raise goats for Montana Goat Company.

These headlamps give me plenty of light for detailed tasks like saddling a horse in the dark or fixing a tire on our horse trailer. Plus they're waterproof.

I get about six hours of solid power out of the Range 500, so be prepared for a recharging option if you’re using these in the backcountry. Bring along a solar charger or a small rechargeable battery pack. Still, I've saved a lot of money on batteries that would have just been tossed into the garbage when they're discharged.

For around the farm and ranch where you have readily available recharge power, the Biolite headlamps work great.
