Billings Marathon enters its 45th year
The city of Billings has two birthdays to celebrate this spring.
The 45th annual Montana Marathon is June 1, continuing its legacy as one of the longest running races in the state.
The Montana Marathon is a Boston-qualifying race that is one of the most scenic in America. The race opens with 10 miles of rolling hills before descending a full 1,000 feet, making it a dream course for runners chasing a personal record. Spectators and runners can soak up the post-race energy at Billings' Pioneer Park, the finish line for the full marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K.
While the Montana Marathon celebrates its 45th anniversary, Billings is celebrating another birthday: the 10th year of the Art House Theatre.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Art House, Billings’ beloved nonprofit cinema, pub and a cultural cornerstone of Billings.
First opened in spring 2015, Art House has evolved into a vibrant center for the cinematic arts in Montana.
To celebrate its 10-year milestone, Art House is hosting monthly anniversary screenings of some of the most impactful films from its history. A recent showing of “What We Do in the Shadows” packed the house, and fan-favorite “Ex Machina” is up next.
