The Ranch Club
Missoula, Montana - The Ranch Club golf community in Missoula is included in Golfweek magazine's "Best Courses 2010" list. The March 12 issue of the magazine honors the nation's greatest golf courses including a state-by-state listing of the country's best courses. Golfweek is not the only magazine to recognize The Ranch Club, the course was also honored by Golf Digest magazine's "America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses" in 2007-08. To learn more about The Ranch Club visit www.RanchClub.com or call 406-532-1000. The Ranch Club offers the golf enthusiast panoramic views nestled within a traditional links-style course. With multiple tee boxes on each hole offering yardages from 5,096 to 7,020, the Championship 18-hole course includes creative design elements and risk/reward shots to create a strong challenge for the scratch player, yet also accommodates the novice. Course architect Les Furber's design philosophy is influenced in part through his long association with Robert Trent Jones Sr., recognized as the "father" of modern golf course architecture. His firm's reputation has been built on designs where golf strategy and shot values are paramount. The design approach is innovative, visionary, and with today's ever changing ecological regulations, in tune environmentally. Vic Williams of Fairways & Greens magazine recently wrote, "The centerpiece of that lifestyle is a golf course that's just fun to play... (with) enough strategic variety to engender that all-important, "yeah, I could play this course every day" feeling." The Ranch Club is in good company on this Golfweek list. Other notable courses on the list include Pebble Beach, California; Bethpage Black, New York; Pacific Dunes, Oregon; Chambers Bay, Washington; and TPC Sawgrass, Florida. Topping the list for Montana is Old Works Golf Course in Anaconda. The Ranch Club is a golf community which sits on a 340-acre scenic swath of land in the Clark Fork River Valley. Conveniently located just six miles northwest of Missoula's city center and the main campus of The University of Montana; The Ranch Club offers easy access to the considerable events and culture of Missoula while still enjoying the calm of the countryside. At the center of The Ranch Club is a championship 18-hole links-style golf course designed by Les Furber. Living options at The Ranch Club include custom homesites and Club Lodges. Club amenities include a Clubhouse with a fine-dining restaurant featuring newly expanded indoor, outdoor and private dining areas; golf shop; a new 15,000 square foot, resort-style pool complex; state-of-the-art fitness center unrivaled in the area; and members' locker rooms. For more information about The Ranch Club, call 406-532-1000 or visit www.ranchclub.com.
