February 21, 2013
Editor@montanaliving.com

Educators will soar to new heights this year as The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) Aeronautics Division sponsors a three-day workshop entitled: "Takeoff with Aviation Education." This annual free workshop will be held at the Copper King Hotel in Butte from February 28, 2013 thru March 2, 2013.

The objective of "Takeoff with Aviation Education" is to expand the scope of aviation and aerospace education through the introduction of classroom applications for teachers. This workshop will help teachers to incorporate theory of flight and other aviation concepts in the teaching of math, physics, history, language arts, literature, and geography. Sixteen teacher renewal units and one graduate credit are available. Teachers will also receive a training flight as part of the program.

For more information and registration, please contact David J Hoerner at (406)444-9568 or 406-444-2506 or email him at dhoerner@mt.gov.
