| Montana Folk Festival celebrates Montana rivers and streams
The Montana Folk Festival coming July 12-14 to Butte has set the theme for the popular Montana Folklife Area and Family Area for 2013.
"Each year, we focus on a theme that highlights an important aspect of Montana's heritage. For 2013, that theme is set -- "Gathering at the Headwaters: The Influence of the Confluence of Rivers and Riparian Lifeways in Montana and the Mountain West," said George Everett, Festival Director.
This theme will guide the activities, displays and demonstrations of the popular Family Area and Montana Folklife Area and will include interactive activities, demonstrations and displays of a variety of traditional skills and techniques by a variety of Montanans.
This year the Clark Fork Watershed Education Program (CFWEP) will coordinate both the Folklife Area and the Family Area this year. |
